What the 48-hour chart shows

Then the problem is between you and Steam. Restart Steam, clear any server browser filters, check Steam's status page, and on force wipe day update Rust first. Are Rust servers down right now?

The verdict at the top of this page is live. It comes from our own read of the full server list every five minutes, compared with the normal count for this hour. At 85% of normal or more, servers are up; below half, we call an outage.

Why does my game show no servers when this page says they are up?

If this page says servers are up and your browser is empty, the issue is on your side or Steam's. Restart Steam, clear your server browser filters, check whether Steam is down, and on force wipe day update the game. The steps above cover each in order.

How often is the server status updated?

We read the public server list every five minutes. The timestamp under the verdict shows when that reading was taken, usually within the last six minutes. If a reading is more than twenty-five minutes old, the page says so instead of guessing.
