What does the tutorial tag mean on a Rust server?

The tutorial tag is set by the server owner. It usually means Facepunch's new-player tutorial is switched on, but it can also mean the server runs a custom training area. Check the server's page or description for details. The tag does not change the server's gather rate, wipe schedule, or team limit.

Are these servers good for new players?

They can be useful for learning the basics. The tutorial island gives you a safe space to practice gathering, crafting, and building. Once you finish, you join the main map with everyone else. Look at the Group and Tags columns to find a server that suits your experience level.

Do tutorial servers wipe on a schedule?

Yes. They follow the same wipe schedules as other Rust servers. Most run monthly wipes, but some wipe weekly or biweekly. A wipe resets the map and, on some servers, blueprints. Check the Next wipe column for the next scheduled wipe.

Can I filter this list by region or group size?

No. This page only shows servers with the tutorial tag or 'tutorial' in the name. To filter by region, group limit, or other settings, use the full server list . That page has filters for region, group size, and wipe cycle.
