What does 5x gather rate mean in Rust?

It means you collect five times the normal amount of resources from nodes, trees and barrels. One tree gives five trees' worth of wood. Many 5x servers also add kits or faster crafting, so the pace is much quicker than vanilla. It is a modded setting.

How often do 5x Rust servers wipe?

Schedules vary. Some wipe weekly, some monthly, and some only at the force wipe on the first Thursday of each month. The Next wipe column shows the estimated date for each server. Check it before you commit to a base location.

Are 5x Rust servers always modded?

Yes, almost all are listed in the Modded tab because Facepunch requires any gather-rate change to be listed as modded. A server tagged vanilla but running 5x gather is mislabelled. The vanilla tag refers to difficulty, not rates.

Can I play solo on a 5x server?

Yes, but check the Group column first. Most 5x servers allow teams up to Rust's default of 8, which can be tough for a solo player. Some servers set group limits of 2, 3 or 4, which are easier. You can search for 'solo' or 'duo' in the server name.
